Police are warning residents about a series of robberies last month near the Lake Meadows apartment complex in Bronzeville on the South Side.

In each case, one or two men approached a lone victim and took the victim’s property before running off, according to a community alert from Chicago police. In two of the hold-ups, they displayed a gun or a knife.

The robberies were reported:

  • About 12:30 a.m. Jan. 31 in the 400 block of East 33rd Street;
  • About 12:45 p.m. Jan. 22 in the 500 block of East 33rd Street; and
  • About midnight Jan. 16 in the 500 block of East 33rd Street.

The suspects were described as one or two men between 20 and 25 years old, police said. They stood 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10.
