A man was shot to death Sunday in Austin on the West Side, according to police.

Dywayne D. Head, 31 was walking about 7:25 p.m. in the 500 block of North Central Avenue when someone approached and shot him in the chest, abdomen and hip, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
