Someone smashed the window of an auto parts shop during a burglary Wednesday in North Park on the Northwest Side.

Officers responding to a burglar alarm at 9:90 p.m. found the front window of the store broken with a brick in the 5500 block of North Kedzie Avenue, according to Chicago police.

Petco Auto Parts is located in that block at 5522 N. Kedzie.

An unspecified amount of money was taken from a cash box and several auto parts were stolen, police said.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
