Police are warning North Side residents of a burglar picking locks and stealing packages in Rogers Park.

Since late April, a man between 50 and 65 years old has struck at least five buildings, Chicago police said in a community alert. Three of the burglaries happened in the same block on Lunt Avenue.

The burglaries happened:

  • after midnight April 25 in the 1300 block of West Lunt Avenue;
  • about 2:30 p.m. May 4 in the 1200 block of West Lunt Avenue;
  • the afternoon of May 7 in the 1200 block of West Lunt Avenue;
  • between May 10 and May 11 in the 1200 block of West Lunt Avenue; and
  • about 10 p.m. May 19 in the 1700 block of West Jarvis Avenue.
