Man killed in Brainerd shooting

The 27-year-old was found with gunshot wounds to the chest, back and legs on the front steps of a home in the 9200 block of South Eggleston Avenue, police said.

A 27-year-old man was shot to death Saturday in Brainerd on the South Side.

He was found with gunshot wounds to the chest, back and legs at 11:05 p.m. on the front steps of a home in the 9200 block of South Eggleston Avenue, Chicago police said.

Khalil T. Porter was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and pronounced dead, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. His death was ruled a homicide.

Further details about the shooting are unknown as authorities have not located any witnesses, police said.

No one is in custody as detectives investigate.
