A man was killed in a shooting May 3, 2020, in he 14400 block of Des Plaines Street in Harvey.

A 60-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday in south suburban Harvey.

Charles Hartzol was shot in the chest about 8:52 p.m. in the 14400 block of Des Plaines Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Hartzol, of Riverdale, died nearly an hour later at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, the medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy ruled his death a homicide.

Harvey police did not immediately respond to a request for details on the shooting.
