A man was killed in a shooting Tuesday in Humboldt Park on the West Side, police said.

The 27-year-old was driving about 1:05 p.m. in the 3300 block of West Chicago Avenue when someone pulled alongside in a vehicle and opened fire, Chicago police said.

The man was shot in the chest and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details on the fatality.

Area One detectives are investigating.
