A man was shot to death Saturday in Brighton Park on the Southwest Side.

Officers responding to a ShotSpotter call about 3:50 p.m. found him unresponsive in the 4400 block of South Kedzie Avenue with a gunshot wound to his head, Chicago police said.

David Santoyo, 31, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. He lived Chicago Lawn.

An autopsy ruled Santoyo’s death a homicide, saying he died of a gunshot wound to his head, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Area One detectives are investigating.
