A man was shot and killed Friday morning in Gage Park on the Southwest Side, according to police.

The man, 19, was shot in the head inside a home about 5:30 a.m. in the 5400 block of South Talman Avenue, Chicago police said. He died at the scene.

A witness called police to say his friend, whose name he couldn't remember, had been shot by someone who left the home, police said. The witness is being questioned by police.

The victim was identified as Konrad Hudyka by the Cook County medical examiner’s office. An autopsy ruled his death a homicide, saying he died of a gunshot wound to the face.

Area One detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
