A 17-year-old boy was wounded when he was shot Friday in West Garfield Park.

He was inside a vehicle about 7:33 p.m. in the first block of South Kostner Avenue when another vehicle pulled up, Chicago police said. Someone inside fired shots, striking the boy in the arm.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital in fair condition, police said.

No one is in custody as Area Four detectives investigate.
