A man was killed in a stabbing Monday in Washington Park on the South Side.

He was involved in an argument with someone who stabbed him in the chest about 10:47 a.m. in the first block of West Garfield Boulevard, Chicago police said.

The man stumbled across the street before collapsing, police said. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he died.

An autopsy confirmed Kendell Reed, 40, died of his injuries and ruled his death a homicide, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. He lived in Rockford.

No arrests have been reported. Area One detectives are investigating.
