Thief steals catalytic converters in West Town: police

In each incident someone stole the catalytic converter from a parked vehicle.

Three catalytic converters were stolen between Aug. 3 and Aug. 4, 2020, in West Ridge and Rogers Park.

Three catalytic converter thefts were reported in May and June 2020, in West Town.

Chicago police are warning residents of three reported catalytic converter thefts in May and June in West Town.

In each incident someone stole the catalytic converter from a parked vehicle, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The thefts happened:

  • Between 10 p.m. May 20 and 9 a.m. May 21 in the 1400 block of West Hubbard Street;
  • Between 10 p.m. June 3 and 7 a.m. June 4 in the 1300 block of West Grand Avenue; and
  • Between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. June 26 in the 1100 block of West Hubbard Street.
