Teen shot on Near West Side

The 17-year-old boy was driving in the 100 block of North Oakley Boulevard when he was shot in the leg, police said.

A 17-year-old boy was wounded when he was shot Friday on the Near West Side.

He was driving about 12:30 a.m. in the 100 block of North Oakley Boulevard when he heard gunfire and felt pain, Chicago police said. The teen was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition with a gunshot wound to the leg.

No one is in custody as detectives investigate.
