A 16-year-old girl was wounded in a shooting Tuesday in Austin on the West Side.

She was in a home about 7 p.m. in the 1000 block of North Monitor Avenue when someone inside the home fired shots, Chicago police said.

The teen was struck in the side and taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.

Area Four detectives are investigating.
