A man was critically injured in a hit-and-run Saturday in West Garfield Park on the West Side.

He was walking north across the street about 10:40 p.m. in the 4400 block of West Lake Street when the westbound vehicle hit him, according to Chicago police.

The vehicle drove off and the man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.

No one is in custody as Area Four detectives and the Major Accidents unit investigate.
