A 32-year-old man was fatally shot Saturday in West Englewood on the South Side.

He was driving about 2:05 p.m. in the 2300 block of West 63rd Street when a male suspect in a dark-colored SUV pulled alongside him and fired shots, Chicago police said.

The man was shot in his chest, and he was pronounced dead at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as Joshua Davis, of Chicago Lawn.

An autopsy conducted Sunday ruled his death a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said.

No one is in custody as Area One detectives investigate.
