An 18-year-old man was killed in a shooting Tuesday evening in the South Shore neighborhood.

He was shot in the abdomen about 8:25 p.m. while sitting in a vehicle in the 2700 block of East 75th Street, Chicago police said.

The man, identified as Jeremiah Davis, was pronounced dead at the University of Chicago Medical Center at 11:18 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He lived in Washington Heights on the South Side.

No one is in custody as Area Two detectives investigate.
