A man was killed in a shooting Friday in south suburban Hazel Crest.

Paris Drake, 48, was shot multiple times about 3 p.m. in the 17400 block of Kedzie Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He died of his injuries about an hour later, and an autopsy ruled his death a homicide.

Drake lived in the Longwood Manor neighborhood of Chicago, the medical examiner’s office said.

Hazel Crest police did not immediately return a request for details.
