Police responded to a shooting Tuesday in Park Forest.

A man was shot in the parking lot of a business Tuesday in Park Forest in the south suburbs.

Officers found the man with gunshot wounds in the 400 block of Sauk Trail, Park Forest police said in a statement posted to social media.

A 24-year-old Steger man suffered life-threatening injuries in the attack, but his condition stabilized at a hospital, Park Forest Police Chief Chris Mannino said in an email.

Mannino declined to provide details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting.
