Man fatally shot in West Garfield Park

The 36-year-old was found in the 4000 block of West Van Buren Street with a gunshot wound to his head, Chicago police said.

A man was killed in a shooting Friday morning in West Garfield Park.

Patrick Green, 36, was found about 10:50 a.m. in the 4000 block of West Van Buren Street with a gunshot wound to his head, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Green was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

No arrests have been made. Area Four detectives are investigating.
