A 17-year-old boy was gravely wounded in a shooting Monday afternoon in Brighton Park on the Southwest Side.

The shooting happened about 1:40 p.m. in the 1500 block of South Drake Street, Chicago police said.

The teen suffered a gunshot wound to the hand, leg and abdomen, police said.

He was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital in grave condition, according to Chicago fire officials.
