A person was taken into custody after a group burglarized a store early Monday in Back of the Yards on the South Side.

About 2:20 a.m., a group broke the front window to a retail sporting store in the 4600 block of South Halsted Street and took merchandise from inside, Chicago police said.

The group left with the merchandise and fled the scene in multiple vehicles, police said.

A male was arrested near the incident, police said.

Area One detectives are investigating.
