A driver crashed into an office building in Bowmanville on the North Side early Thursday, then ran off, according to Chicago police.

The Hyundai Elantra was headed west in the 5200 block of North Damen Avenue about 1:25 a.m. when the driver lost control and struck the window of an office building, Chicago police said.

The driver fled on foot and was not in custody, police said. No injuries were reported.

Chicago police are investigating.
