Man faces charges in Lincoln Park carjacking

A 22-year-old man is facing charges after he allegedly carjacked a person last year in Lincoln Park.

Leonard Johnson was arrested Thursday after he was identified as the person who carjacked a 27-year-old man May 20, 2020 in the 900 block of West Armitage Avenue, Chicago police said.

That day, Johnson allegedly took the man’s car and his personal property, police said.

Johnson is facing one felony count each of vehicular hijacking and robbery, police said.

He was due back in court Friday.
