Man, 18, wounded in Albany Park shooting

The man was standing in the sidewalk with several people Saturday in the 4100 block of North Kedzie Avenue when someone fired shots after a verbal altercation, police said.

An 18-year-old man was shot late Saturday in Albany Park in the Northwest Side.

The man was standing in the sidewalk with several people about 11:35 p.m. in the 4100 block of North Kedzie Avenue when someone fired shots after a verbal altercation, Chicago police said.

He was struck in the leg and was transported in good condition to Illinois Masonic Hospital, police said.

No one is in custody as Area Five detectives investigate.
