Apartments burglarized in Washington Park: police

Three apartments have been burglarized since March 25, 2021, in Washington Park.

Chicago police are warning Washington Park residents about three recent apartment burglaries in the South Side neighborhood.

In each incident, the burglar was able to get in by forcing open a door or window before making off with property, Chicago police said.

The burglaries happened at all hours of the day between March 25 and April 20 in:

  • The 5800 block of South Prairie Avenue;
  • The 5500 block of South Prairie Avenue; and
  • The first block of East 59th Street.

Police did not provide a description of any suspects.
