A man was shot and killed while sitting in a parked car in Gage Park on the South Side Wednesday night, according to police.

The man, 19, was shot in the chest about 8:45 p.m. while with a friend in the 2300 block of West Garfield Boulevard, Chicago police said.

His friend drove him to Holy Cross Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as Davion Johnson.

No one was in custody.
