A teenage boy and an 18-year-old man were fatally shot Sunday in suburban Markham.

Demari Stephens, 16, and Carlos Slaughter were killed in the shooting which took place about 7:30 p.m. in the 16600 block of South Crawford Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Autopsy results released Monday found Stephens died of multiple gunshot wounds while Slaughter succumbed to a gunshot wound to his torso, the medical examiner’s office said.

Slaughter lived in suburban Country Club Hills, the medical examiner’s office said.

Markham police didn’t immediately respond to a request for details.
