A woman was shot in the face in a domestic attack Tuesday afternoon in the Humboldt Park neighborhood, police said.

The woman, 26, was shot by a man she knew around 2:15 p.m. in the back of a home in the 900 block of North Ridgeway Avenue, according to Chicago police.

She had gunshot wounds to her face and body, police said.

Paramedics took her to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition, police and fire officials said.

No arrest had been made.

At least three other people have been shot in Chicago Tuesday, including a 16-year-old boy shot dead in the East Side neighborhood.

The gun violence follows a weekend that saw the most shooting victims so far this year.
