Teen fatally shot in West Garfield Park

Kamaree Burnett, 17, was shot in the face by someone on the sidewalk while he drove in the 4800 block of West Ferdinand Street, Chicago police said.

A man was shot to death in the 2000 block of South Michigan, police said.

A 17-year-old boy was fatally shot Sunday afternoon while driving in West Garfield Park.

Kamaree Burnett was driving in the 4800 block of West Ferdinand Street about 3 p.m. when someone on the sidewalk shot him, Chicago police said.

He was struck in the face and crashed into a light pole, according to police. The boy was taken to Loretto Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

No one was reported in custody.
