A 16-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting Tuesday in Lawndale on the West Side.

The teen was walking down the street about 5:45 p.m. in the 1800 block of South St. Louis Avenue when he heard shots, Chicago police said.

He was struck in the shoulder and taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.

No one was in custody.
