A Richton Park man was shot several times during a carjacking Tuesday in south suburban Matteson.

The 41-year-old man met a male and a female in suburban Country Club Hills he connected with online to sell them a 2013 Dodge Charger, Matteson Police said.

The man allowed the pair to test drive the car while he sat in the back seat, police said.

While driving on Central Avenue near Vollmer Road, the male shot the man two times and demanded he get out of the car, police said. As he was getting out of the car, he was shot a third time.
