Police are seeking a man wanted for an attempted sexual assault May 8, 2021, in West Town.

Chicago police are seeking a man wanted for an attempted sexual assault Saturday morning in West Town on the West Side.

About 12:05 a.m., a 28-year-old woman was walking north in the 400 block of North Morgan Street, when she noticed a white Buick sedan following her, Chicago police said. A man wearing a white shirt, black sweatpants and a blue face mask, got out of the car and began following her on foot.

The man then ran up behind her, grabbed her and forced her into a vacant lot, police said. The man struck the woman and attempted to sexually assault her, but the woman screamed for help and the man ran.
