Woman fatally shot in Bronzeville

A witness told police they heard a gun shot and found the woman.

A woman was fatally shot Tuesday in Bronzeville on the South Side.

About 6:15 a.m., the 21-year-old was found in an alley with one gunshot wound to her head in the 4500 block of South Wabash, Chicago police said.

A witness told police they heard a gun shot and found the woman, police said.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified her as Crystal Crockett of Bronzeville.
