An 18-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday in north suburban Waukegan.

Ladarrius Cowart, of Gurnee, was in a parking lot in the 1800 block of North Sheridan Road when he was shot in the head about 2:20 a.m., according to the Lake County coroner’s office.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Waukegan police reported no one in custody.
