Slot machines were burglarized at two businesses in Humboldt Park on the Northwest Side, according to a Chicago police alert.

In each incident, someone broke the strike plates on the doors of the businesses, broke in and stole money from the machines, police said.

The burglaries happened about 4 a.m. July 7 in the 3900 block of West Diversey Avenue, and about 1:05 a.m. July 8 in the 4400 block of West North Avenue, police said.
