A person was shot to death Sunday in Gresham on the South Side.

The victim was attacked in the 1700 block of West 79th Street about 4 p.m., Chicago police said.

He was struck in the abdomen and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as 41-year-old Victor Jordan of West Pullman.

No one was in custody.
