A man was killed in a shooting Tuesday night in Lawndale on the West Side.

Davonne Reed, 40, was standing outside in the 1400 block of South Lawndale Avenue when someone got out of a blue sedan and opened fire, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

He was struck in the lower back and transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

No one was in custody.
