A woman was found stabbed to death Sunday morning in Lawndale on the West Side.
Margarita Acevedo, 37, was discovered unresponsive about 7:40 a.m. in the 4800 block of West Polk Street, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
She appeared to have been stabbed in the neck and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
An autopsy released Monday found she died of injuries caused by a sharp object.
Area Four detectives were investigating.
