A man was found shot to death Sunday morning in the South Loop on the Near South Side.
Jacek Damien Rudnicki, 44, was found in the street in the first block of East 24th Street about 4:30 a.m. with two gunshot wounds to his lower body, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Circumstances surrounding the shooting were still under investigation, police said.
“Anytime somebody loses their life like that, it’s certainly tragic but I really would like to know more about the circumstances,” local Ald. Pat Dowell (3rd) told the Sun-Times.
No one was in custody.
