$300K bond for man charged with October South Shore shooting

A man charged with shooting a woman in the South Shore neighborhood last October was ordered held on a $300,000 bond on Saturday.
Joshua King, 22, shot the 22-year-old woman about 9:40 a.m. Oct. 27 in the 7600 block of South Coles, according to a statement from Chicago Police.
The woman was shot in the left leg and taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital, where her condition stabilized, police said.
King, of the 2600 block of East 73rd Street, is charged with a felony count of aggravated battery with a firearm, police said.
A judge set his bond at $300,000 on Saturday, according to the Cook County sheriff’s office. He is next due in court Feb. 4.
