44-year-old man shot in West Pullman

A 44-year-old man was shot Sunday afternoon in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.

He was getting out of a vehicle about 1 p.m. in the 12200 block of South Aberdeen when an unknown male approached him, fired shots and ran away, according to Chicago Police.

The man was struck in the foot and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition stabilized, police said.

Two vehicles were damaged by gunfire in the shooting, police said.
