A man charged with a shooting in the South Side Woodlawn neighborhood two weeks ago was ordered held on a $500,000 bond Thursday.
Ricardale Resendez, 21, faces one felony count of aggravated battery/discharge of a firearm, according to Chicago Police.
Resendez shot a 28-year-old man in the thigh about 3:40 p.m. on March 12 in the 6100 block of South Vernon, the same block where he lives, police said.
The victim was taken in good condition to Saint Bernard Hospital, police said.
Police at the time said the shooting was domestic-related, but did not provide additional details.
Resendez was ordered held on a $500,000 bond at a hearing Thursday, according to the Cook County sheriff’s office. He will next appear in court Tuesday for a preliminary hearing.
