Two men rob bank near CPD headquarters

Two men robbed a bank Friday afternoon just blocks from Chicago Police headquarters in the South Side Bronzeville neighborhood.

The robbery happened about 12:15 p.m. at the Seaway Bank branch at 3501 S. King Dr., according to the FBI.

CPD headquarters is located a few blocks west at 3501 S. Michigan.

One of the suspects was described as a black male between 6-foot and 6-foot-1, 230-240 pounds and wearing a green jacket, according to the FBI. The other suspect was described as a black man between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9, 230-240 pounds and wearing a blue jacket and blue jeans.

Surveillance images of the suspects were not available.

The FBI is offering a reward up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information should call (312) 421-6700. Tips can also be submitted at tips.fbi.gov.
