Bond denied for man charged with fatal West Pullman shooting

Bond was denied on Saturday for a Far South Side man charged with killing one man and critically wounding another in a West Pullman neighborhood shooting early Thursday.
Christopher Cage, 27, is charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder for the attack that happened in the 11900 block of South Yale, police announced Friday night. Two men were both shot in the head there about 2:05 a.m., police said.
Mayron Collier, 24, of the 10000 block of South Pulaski, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
The second man, age 29, was shot in the chest and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition, police said.
Police didn’t provide further details on the circumstances of the shooting Friday night.
Cage, of the 300 block of West 109th Place, was ordered held without bond on Saturday, according to police and the Cook County sheriff’s office. He is scheduled to appear in court again on Sunday.
