Police are warning Rogers Park residents about a burglar breaking into homes while they sleep in the North Side neighborhood.
The suspect enters homes through the front door or a window while residents are sleeping, according to the community alert from Area North detectives.
The burglaries happened between 9 and 9:30 p.m. July 9 in the 7100 block of North Ridge and between 1 and 7 a.m. July 19 in the 1900 block of West Morse.
The suspect is described as a 25-30 year old black man, about 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds, police said.
Police advise residents lock their doors and windows, hide valuables and report any suspicious people or vehicles in the area.
