Man robs second North Side Byline Bank branch in three days

A man robbed his second Byline Bank branch on the North Side in three days Tuesday morning in the Roscoe Village neighborhood.

The latest robbery happened about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Byline Bank branch at 3401 N. Western Ave., according to the FBI.

The suspect was last seen heading east on Roscoe Street, spokesman Garrett Croon said. No injuries were reported.

The same man is believed to have robbed another Byline Bank branch at 9:47 a.m. Saturday at 1401 W. Belmont Ave. in the Lake View neighborhood, according to the FBI.

He is described as a white man with a medium build, blue eyes and tattoos on his neck and arms. He has been seen wearing a black hat with a multicolor bill, a gray “Chicago” sweatshirt and black sunglasses.

He has not displayed a weapon, according to the FBI.
