Cops claim Waukegan man had ‘extensive’ child porn collection

Saint is no saint, according to Waukegan police, who claim they found an “extensive” amount of child pornography on the 34-year-old man’s computer while executing a search warrant Tuesday.

On Wednesday, Saint Alexander of the 2000 block of Washington Street in Waukegan was charged with 10 felony counts of possession of child pornography, a statement from police said.

While investigating a case of suspected child porn, the Lake County sheriff’s Cybercrimes Unit and Lake County state’s attorney’s Cybercrimes Units executed the warrant Tuesday and arrested Alexander, police said.

Seized from his home were “multiple electronic devices capable of storing electronic media,” and a forensic examination “revealed an extensive amount of images and videos identified as child pornography, which involved children under the age of 13,” police said.

Alexander was ordered held in the Lake County Jail on a $150,000 bond and is scheduled to return to court May 19 for a preliminary hearing, police said. He faces up to 7 years in prison on each count if convicted.

Because of the “extensive amount of child pornography located on the seized electronic media,” police will continue to investigate to determine if additional charges are filed.
