Cops warn of carjackings in Humboldt Park

Chicago Police are cautioning West Side residents after a pair of carjackings in the Humboldt Park neighborhood last month.

Two men, one of them armed with a handgun, have threatened drivers and made off with their vehicles, according to a community alert.

The first hijacking happened about 10 p.m. on July 15 in the 3900 block of West Huron, and the other about 9:15 p.m. July 20 in the 3500 block of West Chicago, the alert said.

Police do not have a detailed description of the men.
