A northwest suburban man has been charged with giving morphine pills to a 20-year-old woman who died one month ago of an overdose in McHenry County.
Jessie A. Brown, 23, was arrested at his home Wednesday in Crystal Lake and charged with drug-induced homicide, according to a statement from the McHenry County sheriff’s office.
The 20-year-old woman was found dead March 25 in the 7800 block of Balsam Drive in Wonder Lake, according to the sheriff’s office. Detectives recovered evidence that she had ingested morphine before her death.
During a monthlong investigation, detectives learned that Brown had recently supplied the woman with morphine pills.
Brown was ordered held at the McHenry County Correctional Facility on a $250,000 bond.
